Hahax! Already got a long time didn't post my art work here...lolx!

The portrait above are the shading style that I use to draw portrait. It looks very realistic right? I love this kind of drawing style!

BUT...

Recently, I'm worry about my pencil drawing, because I felt I didn't improve at all. Wondering...can I improve if I continue using this kind of shading? Or maybe I'm too worry about it...lolx!

So last week I had let Mr. Leong to critic my portrait. And he gave me all the answers that I wanted to know since when I felt I can't improve. He told me that the style that I'm using to shade are actually not Sketching, cause Sketching is like more stroke, like the portrait below.

This portrait is actually different from the first one, it had more stroke.

And he also told me that ~I will NOT improve if I CONTINUE using my old drawing style~, (That's what I felt long time ago...wondering is it true? now I know...It is true!)

He call me to try shade using Sketch style, and this week portrait, I tried using that way to sketch, and it feels great!

Yesterday I went to watch UP with 16 of my classmate, plus Kathy and Cindy, total 18 person together...lolx! This time we go watch in Digital 3D, also my first time watch movie in Digital 3D. And you can see all the 18 ticket in the photo below.

erm...this movie really nice to watch, the story line is great and so touch. I really enjoy watching this movie, I love it! lolx!!! But 1 thing I realize that actually a movie watch in Digital 3D is almost the same as in not Digital 3D, just have a little bit different only...not much...^^ So next time I wont watch any movie in Digital 3D again...lolx!

Last Saturday 22 August was the last day of my college’s workshop, I’m so surprise that day. Cause I get the Outstanding Student Award, not only me lar...and two of my classmate too, Rocky Leaw and Jolie Tan. But after I get this award, I really don’t know how. There is a feeling that I don’t know how to explain. Don’t know what to do next? Don’t know how? Don’t know why? And kept Confusing. And one thing maybe I make all my lecture disappointed, cause the artwork that I past up that day not really good. ==

So until today, the feeling still remain in my heart. And I know how to explain the feeling now, is actually "Pressure"...

So...hope I can do it...still need many improvement yet...Gambateh to all my classmate too! ^^

Practice Makes Perfect

"Practice Makes Perfect"! Yes, that's true. Because of I wish I can improve my skill on drawing, So from now on, I will set some RULES for myself to achieve my target.

RULE Number 1: Complete minimum 4 portrait of pencil drawing a week.

RULE Number 2: Must never give up.

RULE Number 3: Must follow the RULE Number 1 and Number 2 that I set for myself, of course including the RULE Number 3...lolx!

So, from now on, I think I won't have much time to online anymore...hahax!

PSP Go!

New PSP is coming soon! This portable console called PSP Go or PSP-N1000. It will have build in memory of 16GB, but no UMD drive anymore. If 16GB are not enough to use, can add another more 16GB, expandable via the M2 memory stick slot. Of course there will be Wi-Fi too...lol. This PSP Go will weighs 40% less and 50% smaller than the PSP-3000. The screen will be smaller than the previous PSP, but the resolution are the same. Oh, ya I forgot one thing, it has Bluetooth also. Because there are no more UMD drive, so all the games will be downloadable! I'm wondering whether all the downloadable games are free or not? hahax! If you haven't got a PSP and wishing to buy one, I recommend you to wait for the PSP Go. Cause it will be coming very soon to Europe and North America on October 1, 2009, Japan on November 1, 2009. But I believe it will be late a bit to reach Malaysia, maybe this December or next year...lolx! This PSP is great! But I'm not going to buy it, cause I already have a PSP 1000. But maybe in the future I'll buy the next, next, next generation of PSP...hahax.

Give Me Back My PSP

I just done the short film this afternoon! Ya, the one I mention two weeks ago "Give Me Back My PSP". This short film looks normal, but one thing special is that the two people in this short film are the same person, which is me...lolx! And I just learn how to do this kind of video few month ago. This time I face a lot of problem when doing this short film...lol. I spend two days to capture the 8 videos, why two days? Here is the problem...when the first day I capture the 8 videos, I didn't realize that in all these 8 video, got 4 of them are capture in vertically. When the video is vertically, I can't combine them with the horizontal one. So after I realize it is too late, I have to capture the 4 videos again...lolx. That's why I take 2 days to did this...hahax. Then, I use about one and a half week to separate all the video to frames and combine it using Photoshop. After finishing separate and combine all the frame together, I feel more relax already...lolx. Cause all I need to do is to find the sound effect. And actually I didn't use many sound effect on this short film. I just use one sound effect and to tow music, which the music is Flight of the Bumblebee by Maksim Mrvica and an old little classical music, The Entertainer by Scott Joplin. One step closer to One academy

So, Ah Jie(my ah gu) and me, we make an appointment and meet at there this afternoon to make our registration. This time is to register the workshop which will start from 3 July to 15 Aug this year. OMG! Hey, I'm going to study at The One soon! Just 15 days left! So excited, don't know wanna say what...hahax! But one thing disappointed me a little bit is that Penang The One Academy does not officially open yet. So, we only can study from 3 July to 15 Aug. After all, we have to wait until it officially open. I hope that The One Academy can open officially around the time or before we finished that workshop...lolx!

KL Trip

Last Thursday I went to KL with my family, and just come back yesterday night. The main purpose we went to KL this time is to bring a car to my brother which he was study in MMU. So we drive to KL and come back by plane. Actually we don't usually go KL, I remember the last time I went to KL with my family is when I was in primary school. That time we went to Sunway Lagoon, that's long time ago ya...lolx! Anyway, this time...we went to many place on the first day we reach there...hahax! We went to Times Square, Sungei Wang, Lot 10, KL Plaza, BB Plaza, Plaza Low Yat and Pavilion. Because of all these places quite near to the Hotel Radius, where we stay. So we didn't take any bus or taxi to there, we went every places by walking. After we went to all the places, I found out that Pavilion is great! The moment when I saw Pavilion's building, it came out only one word in my mind "GRAND"! lolx!!!

After we have our dinner that night, we walk to Petronas Twin Tower. YES, we WALK! From Pavilion to Twin Towers...hahax! you can imagine how far we walk right? lolx...While walking, I take a few photo of the Twin Towers from far to near...lolx!

Then the next day, we went to IKEA, of course we don't walk to there...we drive...lol! I saw one special thing over there, and I took a picture of it...here is it...

At the last day we went to Putrajaya, we can see many beautiful building there. But one thing disappointed me is the weather are so bad, we won't be able to see a clear view from a high land.

Then at that night, my brother bring us to LCCT Airport. And we took an Air Asia flight back to Penang. But my brother didn't follow us back to Penang, he go back to his hostel. Cause he will start he school on Monday. So, That my KL trip last 3 days...lolx!

Another Video Soon

So, I'm going to do another video. Yup, almost like previous one I done few months ago that have two of me at the same time. Last time the first video I did is called "NN-RAY", and this time the video called "Give Me Back My PSP"...lol! I just started doing the video this morning, spend about 4 hours and I think I only done about 10%...OMG!!! Only 10%!!! lol!!! But I'm sure this time the video will be better than the previous one, cause this video will be longger and have some sound effect too. So, I need more times to finish this video. But I hope I can finish this just before I start my study on July.

The Return of My Pencil Art

I had quite a long time didn't draw Portrait, so yesterday I decide to draw a portrait. This time I draw Phil Collins again! I found the original photo from Flickr website [Link]. I had wish to find this posture of Phil Collins which he is singing a long time ago. Now I found it! and I drew it too! One thing difficult to do in this draw is the mic. I can't really draw the mic as same as the photo. But I am quite happy with the result. ^^
And I think from now on, I will start to draw more Portrait Pencil art, so I can improve my drawing skill on portrait...lol...

Driving Always Make Me Feel Bad!

I just wanted to say "Every time when I drive, please don't non-stop scolding me, let me drive myself can??? Every time when I feel PEKCEK, I don't know what to do, I will drive faster!(It is not I want!) It is dangerous! Many time when I drive faster is because of I feel very PEKCEK! not I don't know how to control the car!!!

Actually this Friday, Saturday and Sunday I have to go to work, but my boss suddenly told me that no need to work in this three days, because of they had cancel the fair. What can I do? Two years ago when I join DeviantART, I saw many kind of art there. And I love to see Sci-Fi art from there. All Sci-Fi art was Awesome, at that time I hope I can draw this kind of art too, but I don't know how to draw...lolx. My First Contest On DeviantART

So...I submitted one of my Art that I had just done it today to the DeviantART contest. In this contest, the title called "Good vs Evil". How to win contest? Just make a Deviation of that title and get the highest number of favorite by others Deviant. The Deviation that have the highest number of favorite will win the contest. And below, this is my "Good vs Evil" ^^

Little funny right? It is Superman vs Sylar, Superman = Good, Sylar = Evil. I get this idea 3 days ago, I start doing this yesterday. And today I done it...YATA! hahax...
Everybody know Superman is a good guy, and those who got watch Heroes will also know that Sylar is a bad guy right? So, what do you think? What will happen to both of them? Is that Sylar going to cut off Superman head and take his abilities? but the question is Superman can't cut by any things. So, who will win this fight??? lolx...
After I submitted my "Good vs Evil", I go to my DeviantART page wait and hope for many many people favoring my "Good vs Evil". But at the end, all I can see is just 8 of them favoring this Deviation...haiz...Disappointed...
I won't win this contest, cause I can see there are others that can get about 3,000 of people favoring their Deviation. So the Conclusion is, I don't even have a chance to win this contest anymore...haiz...

Today I went to Queensbay with Ah Jiek, Charming and Yin Yen. This time is different! We didn't go watch movie, didn't go shopping and also didn't go any place to play. We just find a place, sit down and discuss something. Discuss about do some small business...hahax. We plan to sell something in "Little Penang", actually also the first time I know there is a place called "Little Penang" where you can sell something over there. So, I hope we can make this small small business and earn some money from there. Than I can use that money to buy some of my Art Material when I study in college.

A Funny Story!

I'm not sure where I get this idea, here is a funny story. One day I turn on my PC, and I wanna play games, so I start to open my games folder. But when I double click the folder, it didn't come out any respond. I double click it again, and still the same. I don't know why, so I try to open other things. At first I open Window Media Player, but it won't come out too...OMG! What happend? Then my PC started to lag. LAG! I hate lag!!! Everybody hate lag right? At that time I very angry! So I kick my CPU, and it come out a error massage.(click the image below and see)Hahahahahahax...that's funny right?lolx

Hahax! It is just a story, not real^^ But this few weeks my PC really damn lag. Don't know what to do. I'm planing to format it again or change my processor and at the same time upgrade to Window Vista. Cause now I'm still using XP...lolx...

Why YATA? Actually I taken a English test for The One Academy last week. And they told me that if they didn't call after a week, that means I passed the English test. So, this few days I keep wishing that they won't call me. But today, I got a missed call, it's number is start from "03", so I think it must be from KL. At that time, I'm thinking that the most possible is the call from The One Academy. The next thing I'm thinking is I failed the English test, cause they called me. So I call to the One Academy, and the NEWS that I get is I passed the English test!!! That's why YATA!!!(I did it!) So, I no need to take the extra English course. And now, all I need to do is just sit back and wait for the intake letter. yuhu!!!yata!!!hahax...I think maybe I can't sleep tonight already...hahax...lolx!!!

Still Have A Long Time To Wait...

Already a long time I didn't post something new to my blog. Don't know what to say actually. Feel kind of boooooooring, because everyday is the same, nothing special happened to me. Everyday I go Sunshine work, then come home around 10.30pm, take a bath, after that I will online, draw some art, then went to sleep...haha...repeated this everyday...lolx. If on my off day, also the same...nothing to do...maybe I'll play some games, draw some art, ON some LINE (Online) and do nothing...lolx. Don't know I still need to repeat this how many times? And I already know I will work until around 15 April. So I am thinking after that when I stop working, what am I going to do??? My college's intake is around June, I still have a lots of time to wait for the intake...haiz...Still have a long time to go. And I think I won't work after that, I will use that time to prepare my study, I will work even harder than before...I swear! Cause this is what I want to study, and I dream it long time ago. I wont disappointed them!

Draw Names : Spider-Man

"Your Friendly Neighborhood, Spider-Man" Haha...after I finish the "Thinking", I don't know wanna draw what...lolx. Then I remember last few weeks I chat with one of my old pal, Victor Chan. We are in the same class when we was Form 1 & 3, and when I was form 1 that time, I always draw Spider-Man. Victor is the one that always find many of the Spider-Man picture for me to draw...lolx. Oh ya! back to last few weeks ago when I chat with him...haha, he said to me: " hey Yong Cuen! long time didn't see you draw Spider-Man picture already la!". So, I also feel that I didn't draw Spider-Man for quite a long time, and that's why this time I drew Spider-Man...haha. This Spidy digital art is a little different than many of my previous digital art. Cause this time I'm not using Photoshop to drew, I use Corel Painter IX...lolx. And maybe from this time onwards, I will use Corel Painter for all of my draw. Oh ya! I very like the Spider-Man head that I drew, because it looks quite real...haha.

Draw Names : Thinking

Today, I had finished a draw. The above picture is that drew. This is the first time i draw a girl...lolx. I started this drawn on Feb, now already March...so that means I used quite a long time to finish this draw...haha. Firstly when I start this draw, I drew the girl's body. The body I drew is like a man's body, because I actually don't really draw girl's body before. I always draw man's body...haha. So, I spend a lots of time drawing her body...lolx. Actually I wanted to draw that girl sitting on the wall, turn her head back and have a smile, but I had failed to draw her face :(. So I had no choice, and draw her like that...lolx. One thing that I like the most in this draw is the sky, cause actually I don't think that I can drew the sky until that kind. And at last, I feel that the sky is a little bit empty, so I added a plane on it...lolx. But I think maybe it is still a little empty, is ok for me. I will find more idea and make a better draw next time...^^

Remember this sign? Is the Ghostbusters logo! It is a famous movie in 80's, and also the greatest science fiction's movie ever. When I was small, I always watch the Ghostbusters' cartoon from the TV. Until when I was 10 years old, I only realize actually there is a Ghostbusters' movie on the year 1984 and follow by the Ghosbusters 2 on year 1989. Then when I was 12 years old, I tried to find any Ghosbusters' game on PC, but all I only found is a SEGA 2D Ghostbusters' game. At that time, I wish I can find a 3D game for Ghostbusters (maybe is some thing like Counter-Strike that kind). But there is no 3D game for Ghostbusters at that time, so I have little bit disappointed. But now! The Ghostbusters' game is going to release on Jun 16 2009!!! This time is a 3D game, it is available on PS3, PS2, X360, DC WII & PC! When I saw it is going to release on PC too, I was so excited, because this is the game's that I had been waiting for so long. At first, I thought this game is not going to be release anymore, because Ghostbusters is only famous on 80's and maybe many people had forgotten it, some will remember but will think that is already outdated. Many things remain the same in this game, the Ghosbusters is still taking place in New York city, and the storyline is still written by the same writer of the original film, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. The events of the game occur during 1991, two years after the events in Ghosbusters 2. I can feel this game is going to be Awesome! I'm going to play this game! To I went to school to take my SPM result, and my result actually not so good. But I got 3 A1 and 1 A2, I got A1 on Art, Math and Science, and A2 on Account. Actually I got a little bit disappointed, because my BM is not really as good as I thought. Anyway, today I also had a great time with Ben, charming, n yin yen after taken my result. We go Gurney to watch movie, and have dinner together..haha...lolx.

The Force Unleashed!

Today I almost play game on my PSP whole day...lolx...haha. It is the "STAR WARS:FORCE UNLEASHED", I actually download this game from the internet last year, but I din't play before yet...haha. This game is quite fun to play if you are a STAR WARS fans, and I'm a STAR WARS fans too. So it is very fun for me, because this game's story line is between the STAR WARS episode 3 & 4. This story don't appear on the original movies and book, it is a story about you(The Main Character)serve to Darth Vader, and Darth Vader is your master. But I don't know what are going to happen on the story yet, cause I just stared to play. Oh ya! today also gt one bad things happened to me, I downloaded the wrong Heroes episode 19's file from the internet!!!Aiya!!!so, i have to download again...hope i can watch this episode tomorrow.

I had hope to study animation at there long time ago, now my dreams come true! So, I won't disappoint my father and mother and I will work hard to finish this 3 years Deploma. This few month I use to listen songs from "ALO radio", is a internet radio that have 350 station for you to enjoy, sound great right?...haha. I find out a nice song from there, it is a song called "Blowin' In The Wind". A song that written by Bob Dylan and released on year 1963. In this song, it described and questions about peace, war and freedom without supplying concrete answers, After I listen to this song, I made a photo myself (the photo above).
